We held a city-wide community meeting on Tuesday, September 28 at the Northside Association for Community Development. Over 160 people were in attendance. Residents from nearly every neighborhood in the city were represented. The evening consisted of a background presentation of the Strategic Vision and Master Plan Update and what the workshop would accomplish. Residents were directed to sit at tables where large neighborhood maps were created to talk about missing elements where they live, work, and play. Additional information was gathered at topic stations where residents voted on priorities for transportation, sustainable practices, downtown as a regional hub, vision & values, and shared prosperity. The results from the meeting will be used to inform goals creation for the next meeting on October 27th at St. Joseph’s Church in the Edison Neighborhood. Residents will be further prioritizing their ideas.

Residents used maps to indicate where they live, work and play. They further described “what is missing” to make their neighborhood complete.
