A project to develop and adopt the Natural Features Protection Ordinance and Zoning Overlay District is underway.  A committee of local technical experts is assisting Planning staff in the creation of the development standards for the Ordinance. Staff will work with the committee throughout the Ordinance creation process, including frequent meetings to develop the initial draft.

Staff is working to set up meeting dates and locations to present the draft to key stakeholder groups, including neighborhoods, conservation and environmental groups, and development interests. These meetings, referred to as coalition meetings in the timeline below will take place late February and early March. A community-wide presentation will be scheduled for mid to late March.

Draft standards will be posted starting in early February for review and comment.
