“What do you love about your neighborhood?” this question was asked at the last two Imagine Kalamazoo “Design It” Meetings.

Residents from the Edison and West Main Neighborhoods told us what they loved about their neighborhoods.  Some results we received were:

•        “Engaged, active neighbors, respectful relationships, quiet streets and walkable to the city center”- West Main Hill Resident
•       “It’s unique! I love the curving roads and the variety!”- West Main Hill Resident
•         “My family feels safe walking in the neighborhood.  The neighbors we have feel like family!”- West Main Hill Resident
•         “It has K College!”- West Main Hill Resident
•          “It’s so historic, beautiful and has a lot of old trees.  I love the diversity of people who care deeply about the quality of life!”- West Main Hill Resident
•          “I love the people!”- West Main Hill Resident
•          “Beautiful architecture”- West Main Hill Resident
•          “It’s a neighborhood that is growing and changing the lives of those who live here”- Edison Resident
•          “Its history and people”- Edison Resident
•          “There are great housing options and its location!  It’s half way between Kalamazoo and Portage!”- Edison Resident
