Westbound Parkview Avenue to Close between Oakland and Greenleaf Starting May 16

Starting Monday, May 16, Parkview Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic from Oakland Drive to Greenleaf Boulevard as work progresses to replace water main and rebuild the street.

Parkview Avenue Reconstruction Project Scheduled to begin Monday, March 21

Construction on Parkview Avenue will begin on Monday, March 21 as a coordinated infrastructure project gets underway between Tamsin Avenue and Oakland Drive. The project will include critical water infrastructure upgrades, reconstruction of the roadway, and non-motorized improvements.

Westnedge Avenue and Park Street Traffic Calming Work Scheduled to start October 30

A project to improve safety and calm traffic on Westnedge Avenue and Park Street is scheduled to start this weekend with the installation of new and improved pedestrian crossings followed by the addition of speed radar signs later in November. This work is weather dependent and may be delayed by rain.

Westnedge & Park traffic calming will start this fall, continue in 2022

Planned traffic calming improvements for Westnedge and Park are now available for community review! Work will start this Fall in the Northside neighborhood with new crosswalks and speed radar signs and continue south to Crosstown Parkway in 2022 with right-sized vehicle lanes, new bike lanes, additional on-street parking, and more new crosswalks (with public art).

Oakland Drive Project Scheduled to begin Monday, April 27

A coordinated construction project on Oakland Drive is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27. The City of Kalamazoo replaced all lead water services on this section of road in 2019, and new water main will be installed this year before the project is finished with street resurfacing and improved non-motorized features.
